Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) is a scientific and technical journal established in 2022 by the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University (TIIAME NRU). The journal was founded in accordance with Resolution No. PQ-42 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 10, 2021, “On Measures for the Fundamental Improvement of the System of Training Engineering Personnel for Economic Sectors Based on Innovation and Digitalization”.
Since its establishment, the journal has served as a professional platform for disseminating scientific knowledge, research findings, and practical experience in the fields of hydraulics, hydrology, hydraulic structures, water resources management, ecology, and environmental engineering. The journal is published in electronic format in accordance with modern scientific publishing standards.
The Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) is an independent scientific and technical journal dedicated to hydraulics, hydrology, hydraulic structures, integrated water resources management, ecology, environmental engineering, climate change, and geospatial information systems. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, experimental studies, and analytical papers reflecting the latest scientific achievements in the field.
The journal pays particular attention to research aimed at improving the safety and reliability of hydraulic structures, ensuring efficient use of water resources, studying hydrological processes, solving environmental problems, improving environmental monitoring, developing wastewater treatment technologies, and implementing innovative solutions in water management and environmental systems. Publication Frequency
The Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) is a semiannual scientific journal published twice a year. Manuscripts are accepted continuously throughout the year. Each issue is prepared and published according to the journal’s editorial schedule.
Open Access Policy
All articles published in the Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) are provided under a full open-access model and are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, or embargo restrictions. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right of first publication.
Peer Review Process
The Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) applies a Double-Blind Peer Review process. All manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an authorized member of the Editorial Board based on reviewers’ recommendations.

Publication Ethics
The Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) adheres to internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, transparency, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing issues related to authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, research misconduct, corrections, retractions, complaints, appeals, peer review ethics, and editorial responsibilities. Article Processing Charge (APC)
In accordance with the journal’s open-access publishing model, the standard Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only to manuscripts accepted for publication. No submission fee is charged.
The APC covers editorial processing, management of the peer review process, article production, online publication, metadata preparation, platform maintenance, and long-term digital archiving. Detailed information is provided in the “Author Fees” section.
In 2026, all publication costs of authors will be covered by the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University (TIIAME NRU). Therefore, no APC or other publication fees will be charged to authors during this period.
Plagiarism and Misappropriation
The editorial office of the Journal of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (JHEE) checks all submitted manuscripts using plagiarism detection software to identify plagiarism, improper citation, text misappropriation, and other forms of academic misconduct.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly acknowledging all sources used in their research. The use of text, data, figures, tables, or ideas from other sources without appropriate citation constitutes a violation of publication ethics.
