Aims and Scope
The scientific and technical journal “Irrigation and Melioration” is a peer-reviewed open-access academic publication dedicated to the development of water management, irrigation systems, land reclamation, and agricultural infrastructure.
The main objective of the journal is to establish an international scientific platform for publishing original, high-quality, and rigorously peer-reviewed research aimed at the efficient use of water resources, modernization of Irrigation and Melioration systems, development of hydraulic engineering infrastructure, implementation of resource-saving technologies in agriculture, and wide dissemination of scientific and practical research results in this field to the global scientific community.
The journal covers the following areas, but is not limited to:
Irrigation and Melioration
Improvement of the meliorative condition of irrigated lands, salinity control, groundwater level management, and modernization of collector-drainage systems.
Hydraulic Engineering and Hydraulics
Hydraulic structures, river and canal hydraulics, reservoir safety and reliability, hydrodynamic modeling, and engineering structures.
Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
Modern water allocation strategies, transboundary water issues, water ecology, protection of water resources, and their efficient use in industry and agriculture.
Innovative Irrigation Technologies
Drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, subsurface irrigation, discrete irrigation systems, and assessment of the economic and environmental efficiency of water-saving technologies.
Digital Technologies and Geospatial Information Systems
Application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing technologies for monitoring, mapping, and management of land and water resources.
Climate Change and Hydrology
Hydrological forecasting under climate change conditions, river flow variability, and management of drought and flood risks.
Mechanization of Agriculture and Water Management
Energy-efficient machinery and equipment for water and agricultural engineering, optimization of machinery fleets, and innovative technologies in agricultural engineering.
International Mission
The journal “Irrigation and Melioration” provides an open international platform for the free dissemination of scientific knowledge in water management and agriculture. Its main mission is to promote scientific results, facilitate the exchange of advanced experience, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and integrate regional research into the global scientific landscape.
