Abstract
This study analyzed groundwater depth and mineralization in the irrigated lands of Khovos District, Syrdarya Region. The analysis was based on data collected during fieldwork, and the results were mapped using geographic information systems (GIS). The findings indicated that groundwater levels had declined over the past two years, with groundwater predominantly occurring at depths of 2–3 m (33,699 ha) and 3–5 m (22,260 ha). Areas with high (3 g/L) and very high (4–5 g/L) groundwater mineralization increased sharply, accounting for approximately 98% of the total area. The GIS maps produced in this study support the development of practical recommendations for improving the reclamation status of irrigated lands and promoting the efficient use of water resources.
