The main goal of the journal is to summarize the results of advanced scientific research conducted in our country and internationally in the fields of geodesy, cartography, and geographic information systems (GIS), to convey them to the wider public, and to integrate them into production. The publication aims to create a platform for mutual exchange of experience among scientists, young researchers, and specialists in the fields of engineering, geography, and space technologies. It also serves to increase the country’s scientific potential by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific articles in accordance with the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan (HAC).
Main content of the journal
The content of articles published on the pages of the journal is mainly divided into three major branches:
Geodesy and remote sensing: Studying the shape, dimensions, and gravitational field of the Earth, conducting high-precision measurements using artificial satellites (GPS/GNSS), methods of collecting spatial data using laser scanning and aerial photographs.
Modern cartography: Technologies for creating digital and 3D maps, interactive and electronic mapping, designing national and regional atlases, as well as new principles of cartographic visualization.
Geoinformatics and GAT (GIS): Formation of geographic databases, their analysis, modeling, and software development. Issues of applying these technologies to solve problems of agriculture and water management, land resources monitoring, the cadastral system, transport logistics, and environmental safety.
In short, this scientific publication comprehensively analyzes the theoretical and practical problems of digitizing data about the Earth’s surface, developing spatial data infrastructure, and introducing "smart" management systems into practice.
