Abstract

This article studies the issue of assessing the reclamation status and identifying deterioration in irrigated lands of the Khavos district, Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan. The study identified salinity and groundwater level rise risk zones based on field data obtained from field work, soil and groundwater monitoring results, and geostatistical methods. 3387.2 hectares of irrigated 
lands were identified in the study area, 24% of which were found to have poor reclamation status and high salinity levels. The results showed that, using geostatistical monitoring and field studies, a total of 3090.92 ha of land in 12 contours was identified as having deteriorated reclamation status due to soil salinization, groundwater level rise, and inadequate drainage. This approach is an effective tool for improving soil quality, modernizing drainage and irrigation systems, and ensuring sustainable agricultural 
production.
